My name is Amber Lindsay and I am the music teacher at the Plato Academy Largo and Clearwater campuses. This is my third year teaching K-5 music at Plato Academy!
I enjoy traveling, singing in the Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, kayaking the Weeki Wachi River, and singing in my Praise and Worship Band at church! I received my Masters Degree in Teaching Music Education from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music from the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. I hold a Professional Florida Teaching Certification in K through 12th grade Music Education. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I grew up singing in church choirs, school choirs, and state honor choirs. Music has taken me on a singing tour of the Hawaiian Islands with the University of Hawai'i Chamber Singers to Wiesbaden, Germany to perform with the Wiesbaden Post Chapel Choir. In 2012 I was given the amazing opportunity to work with the Saint Lucian Children's Choir in Castries, Saint Lucia. My international musical involvements have increased my desire to share my passion for music and cultural awareness with children!
I am so excited about being a part of the Plato Academy family. I hope to spark student’s musical creativity, cultivate their self-expression, and challenge students to be self-disciplined and intrinsically motivated in music. I look forward to working with your student and learning together.
